We are glad to announce that Nautilus Pacific Maritime Training Center Inc. (NPMTCI) had a successful pilot face-to-face classes for Bitumen Course last 04 – 06 July 2022.
Bitumen course is open to Masters, Chief Mates, Officer-in-charge of a Navigation Watch and Deck Ratings involved in cargo operation onboard Bitumen Tankers.
Course Objectives:
Specifically, at the end of the course the trainee must be able to:
- Contribute to the safe cargo operation of Bitumen Tankers.
- Provide safe practices in ship operations for a safe working environment
- Establish appropriate safeguards against all identified risks to the ship, crews and environment
- Eliminate hazards and reduce occupational health and safety risks
- Exercise Occupational Health and Safety Precautionary Measures for a pollution-free healthy workplace on board
- Improve emergency preparedness and skills
- Determine the safety procedures from Cargo Planning, Loading and Discharging Operation up to Tank Cleaning Operation
